  The home is beautifully located. The upstairs is the gem of the house, bright and sunny with beautiful views. The kitchen is spacious and newly updated with a great assortment of cooking and eating accessories. Other than a trip to Mo's for chowder, we cooked in the entire time. Bring a couple of your own non stick skillets and your good to go. I brought some extra spices too but Aldoren's has more than just salt and pepper which was a nice surprise. The house was very clean. We were very happy with this house and would come back again. The only negative was the on-line reservation system is difficult to use and not accurate. Much easier to call the property management company directly.

  Great location - walk out the front door, across the deck and you're on the sand. The updates to the house are nice - love that there's no carpet in the living room anymore and the bushes near the kitchen window is trimmed so you have a great view as you sit at the table. Love the new fridge with the filtered water - saved me the purchase of bottled water and ice !! Love the Direct TV with pause feature (like home). Would like to see a new couch/loveseat - the old existing couch/loveseat is not comfortable. Would also like to see at least one chair on the deck for those days (athough rare, but I was there for a few this Nov!) when it's warm enough to sit outside and listen to and watch the waves (one of those heavy wood chairs that doesn't blow away?). The back yard is not fenced for dogs, but there's a back door leading to a pretty private back yard which is great for short, supervised potty breaks.

  This property is in excellent condition with the upgrades to the kitchen are excellant, there are a few items you might want if you plan on cooking-like a non-stick fry pan and bigger bowls, the furniture in the front room is very uncomfortable-an upgrade on that would be nice as this is the only gathering place on a rainy night with the family.

  Our family have been renting Aldoren's Wind & Tide for over 30 years. We have always had great memories of our reunions there and love the town of Cannon Beach. I don't care about the weather because I love what ever nature brings to this beautiful beach. There's so much to see and do by simply walking out the door, the beach is literally on your door step. Running, walking, Haystock Rock, flying a kite, bike riding or exploring some of the near by beaches, caves, dunes, towns, there's endless adventure. Our just relaxing by the fire with a book.

  - I had to buy coffee filters for the coffee machine
  - I could not locate the instructions for the fireplace so I did not use it.
  - Liked the fact that the kitchen and bathrooms were redone
  - would have been nice to have a sprayer on the hose outside
  
  
  The staff at Cannon Beach were great and the check in process was simple which is what I liked.

  We have been visiting Cannon Beach for years and feel that this particular part of the beach it the very best. The house itself is a nicely updated old beach house -- very comfortable, nicely equipped kitchen, good sized grassy yard, and stunning views
  from the front deck. The upstairs loft style sleeping area with three beds was great for our young kids as everyone was got to be in the same room.

  This was a great home for our family. 2 children, ourselves, and one set of inlaws. My 5 yr old daughter fell in love with the room upstairs. She could sit up there and color at the desk and look out the window. Very quaint.

  This is our 3rd time staying in Cannon Beach. The Wind-n-Tide was the perfect place for our 2 person stay. The beach and porch were very enjoyable. Our only suggestion would be to update the couch and loveseat just a little uncomfortable but the condition of the entire cottage was excellent. Will be returning next year for another wonderful stay. Backyard was great for dog and family who visited during our stay. We felt like local's walking the beach every morning and evening.

  We stayed 3 nights at Wind 'n Tide & loved it. The location is perfect, right on the sand, a very short walk to Haystack Rock & 2 or 3 blocks from the bakery/coffee shop. It is not in the main part of town which is actually really nice, because the beach in front of the house was not as busy. We had 2 adults, an 11 year old and a dog, and had plenty of room to spread out. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom, because we wanted to take in the awesome view from the upstairs bedroom. Upstairs is one big room with 2 twins & a double bed along with a bathroom and an older tv. The house was super clean & really cute. The furniture was a little dated, but we didn't think it was uncomfortable like some guests reported. The fireplace was awesome! We will definitely stay here again when we come back!

  We had a lovely stay at this marvelous location. It was small downstairs and needs more comfortable furniture but fit the 5 of us. Upstairs just glorious and very nice remodeled kitchen. Also, convenient to have 2 bathrooms. We would definitely use it again.

  We had six adults and a small dog staying comfortably in the home. The house is right on the beach. It is small but quaintly decorated and is very cozy.
  
  Upstairs Bedroom: The upstairs bedroom was spacious. It has two twin beds and a queen bed. It has ocean views and sky lights. The room décor is outdated, but is still charming. The beds could have been more comfortable, but all who stayed there were able to sleep.
  
  Downstairs Bedroom: Small and charming. Bed is uncomfortable, but we were able to fall asleep for two nights which was pretty good as my husband and I have back issues.
  
  Bathrooms: There are two full bathrooms in the home. The downstairs bath has a shower/tub combo. The upstairs bath only has a shower. The bathrooms have been updated and are fairly nice and charming.
  
  Living Room: The living room has a great gas fire place. The décor is cozy with a beach theme. It has a fairly large picture window with an ocean view. There are other smaller windows, also with ocean views. The furniture in the living room was uncomfortable and outdated, but kind of cozy.
  
  Kitchen: The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer. It also has a small window with an ocean view. It has a small eat-in area with a table and four chairs. I think you could maybe sit six at the table.
  
  Outside: There is a very nice deck that faces the ocean. The house also has a nice gas grill.

  We met up with our daughter and my mother for a week in this absolutely charming, right-at-the-ocean's-edge beach house and enjoyed every minute of our week together!
  The location is perfect, views are amazing, beds are comfortable, kitchen is very functional, temperature is easily adjustable in every room and it was clean as a whistle!
  We found sanddollars just off the deck, watched a full moon and amazing sunsets from in and outside these great digs and warmed our tootsies by the fire morning and night with the turn of a dial. There was even a recycle bin. Oh, and the Waves of Grain Bakery just a few blocks away is the best of the best!
  Honestly, I can't think of a single bad thing to say. We talked about booking it again soon! Don't miss this place...

  Our family grew up coming to Cannon Beach, and of course things have changed. We enjoyed this house, but kinda miss the scruffy beach house factor we remember from childhood. Those places (and prices) are mostly a thing of the past. This place was great-- but a little impersonal-- more like staying in a motel then someone's home. For lot of folks that would be a plus! The beds were all comfy, everything worked, you cannot beat the view from the deck, and, especially for a dog-friendly house, everything was super clean and tidy.

  Aldoren's Wind 'n Tide is a lovely cottage right on Cannon Beach just south of Haystack Rock. We loved the location and the view. The place was neat and clean as a whistle having a queen-sized master on the ground floor with a full bath and a double and two twins on the second floor with a shower/bathroom combo. The cottage has recently been renovated and has a great kitchen with adjacent washer/dryer combo. The living room is small, but fairly comfortable with a large picture window facing the sea. We had only two small complaints: Don't expect a romantic fire from the gas fireplace that comes on like a blow torch and is controlled by a very annoying timer that click, click, clicks to the seconds. The other problem was that the blinds on the read door are mounted so close to the door knob that I cut my hand on them turning the knob to go out. Overall, a great value for the money in a prime location with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of provided linens.

  I rented Aldoren's Wind n' Tide for my wife's 30th birthday and it was an ideal location. It's situated a bit south of the main strip in Cannon Beach but is easily within walking distance via the beach. The beachfront access means you are right there with the sand and waves, perfect for our dog and for flying a kite. The amenities are great as there are plenty of deck and beach chairs, a gas grill, and basic utensils in the kitchen. There were plenty of plates and cups for us and our friends and the new quiet dishwasher made sure that we were not trying to get out of kitchen duty. Overall, I would definitely return there in the future without any hesitation.

  The house is situated directly at the beach, with nice views of Haystack Rock, in a quiet setting, away from the city center.
  Property is dog-friendly (they even provided towels to clean/dry dogs after a walk on the beach, and a flashlight for walks after dark). I rated the general condition "only" 4 stars, since there were some problems with wireless internet and watching DVDs upstairs - management has assured me that these have already been fixed!

  My only concern with the property is the way the upstairs is photographed, it should be more clear that all the beds are in the same room. It did not affect our stay but could effect others.
  Most of the furnishings in the house seem a little run down, the upstairs full bed is very low to the floor and was not comfortable so my husband and I spent the second night on the twins pushed together!
  Overall the house was great, a little updating of the furnishings would make it spectacular.

  What a great little house located right on the beach and only a stones throw from Haystack Rock. Beautifully remodeled but the furniture needs to be updated. The big 42" flat screen in the living room was very nice but there needs to be at least a small TV in the master bedroom. Gas fireplace, new BBQ out in the back yard, very private and perfect for your pet. I would recommend this property to anyone who loves the ocean in you face. We will be back in the fall... thank you for a great stay...

  This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We love the location everything is clean, and tastefully beach decor. It's nice for a family with older children as they have the upstairs to themselves. The only complaint is that the couch isn't very comfy. We will stay here again. Love the kitchen remodel.

  We had a wonderful stay. The location and house were absolutely perfect for us. Even the rainy weather did not detract from our time at the coast. The house was very clean, modern and obviously well kept. The management company was very helpful when we couldn't figure out how to work the gas fireplace. Couldn't have been a better location for us. WOuld definitely come back.

  This property has such potential. Great location and good size. It is just so run down and looks so uncared for. Why isn't anything being done to keep it up?

  "Wind 'n Tide" is a beautiful older two bedroom home right on the ocean south of Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. Two blocks away is an incredible bakery "Waves of Grain" which you shouldn't miss! Even off-season when the weather is dull this home is a delightful place to stay. The home is spotless, has all the kitchen gadgets you could want and the ocean views are spectacular. Rental management are helpful, after-hours checkin was flawless - I recommend CBPM.

  I grew up in Oregon and was born in Tillamook so I'm very familiar with the Oregon Coast. And since I was a kid I've always wanted to stay at one of those old houses right on the beach. So this was a dream come true! It was also a treat for our friends who stayed with us who had never been to the Oregon Coast! We walked along the beach, flew kites, barbequed on the deck and even baked a pie in the kitchen! And we were there in early May when the weather was still rainy, so I'm sure it would be 10 times better in the heat of summer! My only comment is that it would have been a plus to have some newer pots and pans to use in the kitchen. But Aldoren's Wind 'n Tide would be my first choice next time I make it down to the coast!
