Chapman Cottage, located on the quiet north end of Cannon Beach, is a terrific retreat for a small family or a romantic getaway. Excellent ocean views from living room and second bedroom. Deck off the kitchen and master bedroom offers tranquil mountain views. Hide-a-bed for extra guests. The fireplace in living room is a nice touch for a romantic evening in; wood is provided. Master bedroom with queen bed and adjoining bathroom. Second bedroom facing ocean with a twin with trundle that can be converted to a queen size bed. Full size washer and dryer for your use. Sleeps 6 max, no pets, no smoking, and parking for 2 cars.

Chapman Cottage is a great find. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, it offers cozy accomdations, views of the ocean, easy beach access and close proximity the shops and sights of Cannon Beach. I would highly recommend it for a couple or family with one or two young children. (It's not ideal for two couples because the 2nd bedroom is quite small.) We had a great visit and look forward to returning.

Too bad the window blinds were dirty. Generally, the house was clean, but it had a sort of weird smoked fish smell to it. The deck in the back was really nice and sunny and the firewood was handy in the morning for a little warm-up fire. The trail to the
beach is right across the street and cars come and go frequently in front of the property, which can be entertaining (surfers changing in and out of wetsuits)

I looked into other properties for my annual visit to Cannon Beach, but decided there was no need to change what I know and love: Chapman Cottage. It's a small place, but cozy. The location is perfect with a great view and all the amenities I need. It's the only place I'll stay while in Cannon Beach.

The weather wasn't great until the last two days, Fortunately, the cottage has plenty to entertain and much to look at from the living room window, including the elk that strolled by at sunset one day. The kitchen was pretty well supplied, but it was a little shocking to have the glass front on the over door fall off one evening. Also, the smoke alarm battery that ran out of juice in the middle of the night was disruptive. The instructions for internet connection were outdate, but tbe property manager was responsive if not updated on changes.
P.S. We provided this information on the response card when we checked out. Sorry if it didn't get transmitted from the management office - or if you lack people for data entry. As a courtesy, you might just leave a note at the rental that renters with e-mail addresses will be contacted for their evaluations.

The Chapman Cottage is a great place to stay. Our only criticism was that the house is offered as a 2 bedroom when it is really only a 1 bed. The second "bedroom" doesn't have a closet and with 2 people sleeping in the room there is no floor space for walking or storing personal items. Also my wife is a bit of a chef and would have preferred to see the kitchen a little better equipped. Overall though we loved the house and had a great stay.

This is a great little beach house...simple, small...but everything you need for a stay at the beach. Ocean views from the living room (across the road and over the beach grass) and a beach trail just across the street gets you to Ecola Beach which is quiet and lovely. The house could use a little updating, but overall it was great...and you just can't beat the location!

This place is really great for relaxing no matter what the weather. It is cozy and has a fireplace that is really charming. This is my fourth time here and I intend to return as long as it is possible.
I've stayed here twice. I can see a third time coming soon.

Very nice place, we would definitely return. Have been to Cannon Beach several times but this is the first time we have stayed at the north end of the beach. We really liked the location, nice and quiet, great access to the beach and to town. It was a nice space, we liked all the books in the cottage!

I really love this place. It has a wonderful ocean view. It is on a very quiet street that overlooks the beach. There is a path that goes down to a very secluded beach.The beach itself is very scenic. This was my second trip to the house. I have a 3rd trip planned this Summer. The Cannon Beach Propery Management staff is very friendly and efficient. The interior of the house is a little 70's in style but very clean and well maintained. There is also a very nice backyard with views of the coastal range

Overall, everything was fantastic and would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone wanting a nice getaway in Cannon Beach. Although a small thing, would mention a lack of towels and bedding upon arrival to accommodate 6 total guests, HOWEVER, with one phone call to the property management office, the situation was quickly resolved. This is a beautiful cottage in a great location that offers such a beautiful view and access to the beach. The location was perfect for us because we wanted a more quiet, remote setting. It was a quick drive to town and there's also a shuttle very close by. The kids had a blast and never were without something to do. The TV/VCR came in handy for videos on colder evenings and there are even a few games if you don't bring your own. Sleeping arrangements very comfortable and there is privacy for a master bedroom with it's own bath. We will most definitely rent again for future visits to Cannon Beach.

But we didn't care at all because we stayed in a wonderfully cozy little house with a magnificent view of the ocean. They supplied all the wood you could possibly want to enjoy the fireplace. The kitchen was amply supplied for gourmet cooking. What a great weekend!

The kitchen is organized well, there's a Weber grill, an outside deck for nicer weather, and a nice fireplace with plenty of wood for rainy days.

There are two bedrooms: one is a master BR suite with bathroom, more private. The other bedroom is pretty small but has the sound of the ocean, and it does have its own bathroom close by. There's room for two more people on a convertible sofa in the LR. Also a washer and dryer.

A notebook on the coffee table offers tons of information about things to do and places to eat in the area.

Overall, I would highly recommend for a cozy beach house in the nicest area of Cannon Beach - property-wise and for its proximity to a quiet and beautiful stretch of beach.

I was impressed with all the amenities provided; plenty of wood, cooking utensils, soaps, cleaning supplies, and laundry supplies. It was very quiet and the view was terrific! It was also very nice to be able to walk out the door to the beach. It was very restful and restorative.

You can't beat a cottage right across the street from beach access! It was a relatively inexpensive lodging for what you got. It definitely showed it's age, but it wasn't there to spend tons of time in. It was a great location for visiting and exploring. We would definitely come again.
