  Our stay at Moonshell Cottage from booking through to leaving was professional, efficient and easy. We loved the cottage it was out faourite by far, and we visit Cannon Beach at least once a year. I would highly recomend both Cannon Beach Properties, who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, and moonshell Cottage to anyone wanting a getaway.

  If you are looking for a place that is a home away from home and a quiet location, the Moon-Shell Cottage is the place to stay. My wife and I have been coming to Cannon Beach for years and staying in a motel. We decided to rent a small house and discovered this cottage on-line. We stayed for three nights and wished we had more time. This place is on a dead-end road and only a few steps away from the beach. We can not wait to come back.   I seriously hesitate to say anything at all about this rental lest others should find it and realize just how perfect it is. We're in love with Moon-Shell Cottage. We love the location, far far away from the crowds. This was our second stay there and we will be back many, many times.

  Moon Shell Cottage is just the perfect getaway spot. Steps from the beach with a view of the ocean from the comfy green chair in the window, this little place has just everything you need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is small but exceptionally well equipped with pottery barn china and just about every type of saucepan, knife, container and utensil you could wish for. The open fire is wonderful for those cold winter evenings and we made great use of it. The easy access to what is perhaps the best and quietest section of Cannon Beach was a big plus also for us with our four year old daughter. I highly recommend Moon Shell Cottage.

  Well, we left in a rush owing to the Tsunami warning (complete with a 3:00 AM police loudspeaker and blaring siren wake-up call)and the weather was rather dreadful with 50 knot winds and rain, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is fun and has a good ocean view and access. However, "Old Smokey" the fireplace should not be used in high winds as without a wind directional cap on the top of the chimney, smoke blowback was an issue -- to the point it set-off the smoke alarm off, which is in a hard location to re-set without a ladder! Residents should also be warned to carry a key with them at all times when outside as the single door has a tendancy to lock in a near automatic way. A possible nit pick issue because I am a former volunteer fireman is that there may be a code issue in the kitchen between the incompatibility to close the oven when the kitchen drawer next to it is open. We will likley use the cottage again in the future. Will mail keys back to you tomorrow as we agreed on the phone since we had to evacuate in the early AM of our last day.

  How to begin...when there is so much good to say about this place? It was just lovely and cute and beachy. Everything you could want from a rental by the beach. It looked fresh out of a magazine shoot and everything we needed was provided. We stayed there for a week with our two kids (ages 4 and 21 months). The only thing we added was a blow-up baby bath tub, which fit nicely in the shower and also a white noise machine for our littlest one to help him sleep.
  
  The south end location was fantastic as well, very private and quiet. You can almost imagine you live there year-round. The deck out back was great too.
  
  I can't think of anything that would make this place more perfect. Except of course, if we get to come back sometime soon I hope!

• This is the perfect little beach house for a couple, but we think you'd need to be pretty close and/or relaxed family or friends if more than two though.

  Couldn't have been better, an overall perfect stay from the first impression to the very last moment. Perfect and quiet location, still Cannon Beach midtown only a short walk/drive away. Very good equipped kitchen. But the best of it all: the wonderful vintage cottage and its decoration, perfect and loving to the last little detail.

  The pictures of the cottage on line dont do it justice! Its very cute! The location is fabulous, secluded and quiet in the winter months. And since it's south of town, the beach isnt overly crowded with people. It was wonderful!
