Just one thing, the dryer needs to be repaired.
We have rented this home before and loved it. From the feather bed in the master to the view of the waves from the living spaces it is a quality rental. Convenient access to the beach and to downtown via the shuttle.
Small things make the difference when travelling with kids. This cottage has a bookshelf full of toys, books, games, puzzles to keep kids occupied if weather is foul. In good weather, the beach is only a quick walk away and the cottage has all the sand toys you'll need.
We'll definitely be back.
It was very nice, we loved it, it felt like home away from home. thank you!
We loved this cottage and surely will be back again.
It was nice to be off of the beach to avoid the wind and it was only a quick walk down the street. The cottage was cozy and we really liked the size of the kitchen.
we'd like to stay in the summer, but can't be away for a week. The most we can stay is 2 nights. Do you ever make exceptions and rent for 2 nights during the summer months?thank you,Kim
the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. it's in poor shape. i don't know about the ones in the bunk beds. kitchen was well stocked w/utensils, cookware, etc. location was very nice, at least for this time of year.
We stayed at Cottage Inn in early July of this year. We expected that the home was a little older, and it was, but overall it was in good condition and was clean. The yard was large and parking was easy as it was located right off the small deck/patio.Our concerns were more specifically related to the 'exact' location as the property corners directly onto Hemlock (the busy thru road, through Cannon Beach and Tolovana). It was a little noisy at times and as the yard (which was large) butted right against the Hemlock side it wasn't ideal for our young children to play in alone... traffic and the chance of balls/toys escaping onto the busy road. We would have REALLY liked that CBPM let us know about this ahead of time, as we likely would have chosen another property as a result. The fact that the other side/street dead ended onto the beach was some solace though. Our other concern are more directed at CBPM, although very accommodating of our need for a late check-in other concerns arose. Upon arrival at the house the screen door was stuck open and wouldn't close, and, the one and only porch light was burnt out. We checked in the office the next morning to request these be addressed and were told they would. At the end of our second day still neither had been fixed. My husband found tools in our car and was able to fix the door. On the third day we called the office to request that someone please repair the porch light, which was somewhat necessary when unlocking the door after returning from bonfires on the beach at night (we were now relying on turning on our car headlights to navigate the steps and find the door and lock). Well, the porch light was never fixed... we ended up buying flashlights. It would have been nice if someone could have found the time (in our seven day stay) to come by and fix the light and apologise for not addressing the screen door... instead of having us fix it for them.
We loved our stay! The cottage was perfectly cozy. The kitchen was more than amply stocked with cooking utensils and supplies, not to mention the ample supply of children's games, books, and sand toys. The location was ideal, not too close, but close enough to the downtown, easy walking distance to haystack rock, but yet not on the more touristy side of the beach. We would definately come again
Just a short walk to the beach. Walking distance to downtown. An enjoyable place to stay for a weekend.
