Fabulous views and rooms. The on call manager on Thanksgiving Day went beyond the call of duty helping us come to a mutual decision on what could be called a vacation ending water problem. We would return here anytime and will!!
This home has amenities for the guests that weren't even mentioned by CBPM. We found a picnic basket in one bedroom. We found a box of toys in the entry closet & more in a box outside. We didn't need them but it was these little things that said alot about CBPM and the owners of this fantastic "home away from home." Beach chairs galore stacked neatly outside. Beach umbrellas for the tender skinned, and paper plates and plastic silverware in the cupboards were some of the other treasures we came upon. The decor, style of the house and obvious recent upgrades let us know right away that we'd made the right choice for our Sisters-in-law annual get away. Two recommendations: The couch was comfortable for the first 10 minutes and then you started to feel the metal framing. We'd also suggest perhaps one more light in the living room. With six avid readers we had to keep moving lamps to get adequate reading light at night. One more suggestion. Somewhere near the TV/DVD put a small crib sheet that tells the renter basic directions on viewing the correct DVD player. The manuals were there but they were complicated to understand. We also didn't know what TV channel to start our process of viewing a DVD. Simple 1-5 instructions would have made it much easier for us.We shall come to the sea to breathe, refresh and renew again next year and will seek out "Haystack Haven" for our time away at Cannon Beach. CBPM couldn't have been more helpful. You were all so pleasant to work with. By the way, thanks for the use of your property to store our extra car for the weekend.
I was initally concerned about the potential of street noise from Hemlock. But just as was explained to me by Linda from CBPM the noise was virtually non existent. The home was great, the decks were perfect. Easy access to the beach...and as always, a breathtaking view. Love the place.
This is our sixth rental with CBPM and we always appreciate their courtesy and helpfulness.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Cannon Beach and especially staying at Haystack Haven. The house couldn't have been more perfect. The view was absolutely stunning! We had a great time at Haystack Haven. We celebrated our anniversary there!! It was wonderful. The heated tile floors were great and the views were breathtaking!!
It was everything we needed it to be. A nice cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom spotless home with a great views of Haystack Rock and the Pacific in both bedrooms and the living room.*** Very tight parking.
Great rental property!! My only issue was with the cleanliness. The windowsills were dirty, the windows had dried crust on them (looked like mouth-level for babies or toddlers) and the floors and table tops needed a little more cleaning. The house was very cute, though, and the view can't be beat. Beach access was so nice and close, too. Overall we were pleased with the rental and would probably return.
We love this rental and just had our second stay there. The view is amazing and the house is so light-filled and cheerful that even the rainy days are pleasant. The furnishings are nautical Pottery Barn and in great shape--the place was spotlessly clean. The only complaints I have are that they scheduled to have blinds put in while we were staying there, which was a little inconvenient, and I didn't like the travel insurance that was tagged onto the billing unless you proactively opt-out.
Haystack Haven is a classic beach cabin with an amazing view! The outside deck expands the home to feel very comfortable for four people. Be careful parking as very busy street. Easy to walk to mid-town or even town via beach or street. I have stayed here a couple times each year for many years and always anxious to arrive and hate to leave.
We loved the property. The views were spectacular - Haystack Rock, evening sunsets and the tides. The short distance to the beach and downtown are major pluses. The only negative was that the shower/tub had very little water pressure. Overall, we'll be back.
