This is the 7th year my girlfriends and I have come to Cannon Beach for a November getaway but the first year using your rental company--by far the best experience we've had. Though in the past we have been directly on the beach with spectacular views, we really appreciated being so close in to town (we usually stay in Arch Cape), and the walk to the beach was very easy. Your staff was so friendly and helpful and the check in/out process SO easy in comparison to our past experiences. Thank you -- we are sure to use you again! Everyone was impressed.
Terrific place to stay, suits our family reunion group of ten just right. We've stayed at Hemlock House for 4 years now. See you next year!
The house was a bit older and in need of attention - but we loved our stay and we'll come again.
House was spectacularly well-equipped, better so than any previous rental. There were just two notable exceptions: great two-story deck, but only four little plastic chairs for a house big enough for a dozen folks? Not in keeping with the rest of the property. Also, no linens for fold outs. It's not exactly like you can call down to housekeeping at 10 pm when you're making up the beds! We had a great time, midweek, and my extended family loved the property. But, it is sandwiched between two streets, one being 101. When I asked the property manager (while booking the home) if the street visible in one of the photos was the highway, she truthfully said, no, it was Hemlock. But I think it would have been a great deal more truthful to tell me that 101 did run directly BEHIND the house.
We've been renting from you for a few years now - always have a great family reunion when we come to Cannon Beach. Some family members are lobbying to find a different house (closer to beach, bigger kitchen) but most of us are very very happy with the place we've been staying.
Loved the spacious feel and separate living areas. Kitchen was well equipped. Seating at the dining table didn't quite accomodate ten people. Beds were very comfortable except for main floor south BR. Freeway noise was quite loud in the bedrooms.
Would recommend Hemlock House to friends on a budget, but not to friends with high expectations. Wonderful vacation, as always in Cannon Beach, but this was the least favorite rental we have had over the years. This is a rather tired older house, and, although it was clean, it had a musty odor throughout. Location between Hemlock and the highway means children cannot go beyond the deck without adults, and bedrooms get traffic noise from the highway.
We had a large family and there was plenty of room for everyone. There were enough dishes and cooking pots/pans to accomadate the amount of food we needed to prepare. The only trouble was there was only one scoop of laundry detergent, but found out the management would have brought us some had we called. A very great and very rememberable vacation:)
Swallows up a large group comfortably. A fair bit of highway 101 noise. Takes dogs

Overall our stay was pleasant, but the house was old and the furniture was dirty and stained. It also smelled like dogs.
Hemlock House was conveniently located to Cannon Beach town center and the beach. It was comfortable and cozy. A bit more sunshine would have been nice!!
