Recent Reviews About This Property

"The fenced yard was awesome! "

Barry B. from Seattle, 12/24/2016

"We had a fabulous weekend at the "Farmhouse ". Very charming and comfortable. We enjoyed that the house was a little off the beaten path but still close to everything "

Linda R. from Vancouver, 10/04/2016

"Easy check in, house was great, very good experience. It was our first time on the north side of the creek and we liked it there. "

Robert P. from Tigard, 09/04/2016

"would like to ride the bikes, next time"

John H. from Richland, 08/29/2016

"We loved this house. Another bathroom would have helped, but we made it work. Close to the beach and far from the crowds. Quiet and comfortable. The picture don't do this home justice. There is a new tv there now that wasn't pictures when we booked. "

Kate A. from Seattle, 07/08/2016

"Great little house, nice quiet location and really clean and well maintained. Will definitely be going back."

from Campbell River, 06/30/2016

"we loved our little beach house! it was stocked well, and nice and clean..."

Sherryl M. from Kalispell, 06/28/2016

"We love the quiet north end of Cannon Beach. The Farmhouse location allows quick access to the beach and Les Shirley Park for our dogs. The cottage is very cute with comfortable furnishings, a cozy gas fire and well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the garden flowers in bloom this time. The fenced yard is nice for dogs or little kids too. For the number of people the cottage can sleep it's just too bad it doesn't have a second bathroom, but for the two of us it's fine. One of our favorites!"

from Seattle, 05/18/2016

"The cottage is so charming and well appointed with furnishings and ambience we fell in love with it when we first drove up and walked in the house. The neighborhood is quiet and so close to the beach and town making it the perfect location for our Spring break vacation! "

Patricia H. from Hood River, 03/26/2016

"I honestly like this house a lot, we have been there twice already. Location is great and the neighborhood is quiet, but it does get very cold and it heats only in the living room, the rest of the house is unbearable.
Towels might need to be replaced, they look pretty worn out.
Bose player wasn't working properly, the volume wouldn't go up at all.
Those are my "not so much" like things, but other than than, we absolutely LOVE it.
Thank you!"

Rosina P. from Hillsboro, 12/02/2015

"very warm inviting place, not too far from beach
well equipped kitchen, only thing would be nice to have a dishwasher"

Patricia M. from West Vancouver, 11/17/2015

"Located at the north end of town, it is an easy walk to the beach and downtown Cannon Beach. The mud room at the front entry made it easy to get the sand off before going inside as well as providing storage for our two bikes. We were there the last week of August, and while the high temp was around 70, the upstairs bedroom was very warm in the afternoon. We had read about this from other reviews and brought a window fan which cooled it off very quickly (but we first had to purchase an extension cord to reach the window). We didn’t cook, but the kitchen seemed well equipped. As others noted, the bed in the front was very comfy and the kids didn’t complain about their beds. A separate shower area in the bathroom would allow easier sharing. The picture in the bathroom might be considered inappropriate for some ages. We had an enjoyable and relaxing time and definitely recommend The Farmhouse."

James C. from Redmond, 08/30/2015

"The Farmhouse met our needs for a quiet house in addition to another larger house that we rented for a small family gathering. We had planned to utilize the shuttle service to go from one end of Cannon Beach to Tovolona and were dismayed to learn that the closest connection in Les Shirley park did not operate on weekends. Not good when you have two grandmothers in their mid 80's. Also, they found the art in the bathroom to be in appropriate for a rental property. I found the art and decor to be above average and delightful. We did experience difficulty in using the google maps to direct family to the house, at midnight, as the pin point location was incorrect. Prior to the trip I had brought this to the attention of the management and they assured me that it would be corrected.
You may see that it is now correct. Upstairs was pretty hot until we put the fans in the right places. Too bad the windows in the stairway do not open. All in all we enjoyed the property. "

Arden B. from St. Helens, 08/11/2015

"A very convenient location. You can walk to the beach or walk into town, no need to really drive anywhere once you're there. Plenty of room for the four of us and our pup. Comfortable beds and love the gas fireplace. The only thing that needs revamped is the one bathroom and it could be done so easily. The first thing I did was start redesigning the bathroom in my head by opening it up into the laundry room. "

from Vancouver, 07/29/2015

"The upstairs was nice for the kids in one room and a office area in the other room to play in. The only downside was one bathroom. We had a great time."

Jeff M. from Portland, 03/31/2015

"2 couples and 2 dogs made for a fun weekend. This house is located north of town in a nice neighborhood close to the best beach. We prefer the beach north of Ecola Creek as it is not as crowded as the haystack rock area and great for beach combing, running the dogs and watching the surfers. House was clean and comfortable. "

Douglas K. from Kirkland, 03/24/2015

"it was a nice house. A little too far out of town for my liking. Very cozy and cute. "

Karen B. from Puyallup, 02/22/2015

"We very much enjoyed our stay. It was near the beach and near downtown, so we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The house was nice and cozy. Our golden retriever loved the fenced yard. Good times."

Richard H. from Gresham, 12/03/2014

"The Farmhouse provided us the perfect environment to escape from the daily hustle/bustle, noise & traffic. In keeping with previous visits, the house was well maintained, the kitchen completely stocked, and all the linens & towels were clean and plentiful. The fenced yard was an extra bonus as we like to vacation with our dogs. Neighbors are friendly but in no way intrusive. The Farmhouse is within easy walking distance to the beach or to the downtown area. I would highly recommend. "

Richard & Margaret W. from Corvallis, 10/01/2014

"We like this cottage for its location on the north side of Ecola creek and for its fenced yard for our dogs. It's cute, has a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. Other than wishing it had a better, or a second bathroom, it's just fine for us."

from Seattle, 09/30/2014

"Lovely, cozy, comfortable, full of character. The only thing missing was some food storage containers to refrigerate our leftovers. Fenced yard was great for our dog."

Renae D. from PORTLAND, 08/23/2014

"Located in the quiet northern part of town, this cute old cottage was homey and great for our dog. Totally fenced yard, nice landscaping, 2 blocks to beautiful, uncrowded beach. Quirky and interesting artwork throughout house. No dishwasher and only one bathroom, but no problem for us. The mattresses were a little uncomfortable in a couple of the beds, but the WiFi worked well, so we were happy. Five to ten minute walk to downtown and close to Ecola Park entrance. Would definitely stay again if we have a dog with us, although there is no view of the ocean. Great service from the rental company."

Anne P. from Gresham, 08/11/2014

"The Farm House was a great place to stay. It's a short walk to the beach, a quiet location and a nice home away from home environment. The two downstairs bedrooms are very comfortable but the upstairs bedroom would be much too warm to sleep. The kitchen, appliances and backyard barbeque were in great condition. The living room had a nice gas fireplace for those cold mornings and evenings. "

David S. from Napa, 07/21/2014

"The house is as nice as the website pictures look (not our typical experience). All kinds of useful items are stocked in the house, especially in the kitchen. The living room is very cozy and comfortable. Our two teenagers brought a friend each and it was perfect that they could walk to town or the beach. All we would add for the cost per night is a better/bigger barbeque."

Lisa H. from Portland, 07/14/2014

"Pleasantly surprised how well appointed house was. Despite not being on the beach it was very close and was on the quiet end
We walked into town and never had to drive anywhere
The kitchen,though old,was well equipped"

Patricia M. from West Vancouver, 06/30/2014

"This is a great house for several people & your dog(s), as the property is fully (cyclone)fenced with a driveway gate. I find the home roomy & very well maintained. The only modern convenience it doesn't have is a dishwasher but not a deal breaker for me (I grew up in the 60-70's so it was nostalgic for me. ha). The beach is about a block & a half away on the north end of Cannon Beach. The walk into town if you go by way of sidewalk is a nice stroll of about 10-15 minutes. The neighborhood is quiet and the home has a lot of privacy which I liked. The kitchen is more equipped than other rentals I've been in and the art work & pottery definitely gives you a less generic rental feel. The landscaping is lush - enjoyed looking at the pink rhodies out the bathroom window. You can tell this is a home away from home."

Vicki D. from Lynnwood, 05/31/2014

" Whenever we vacation in Cannon Beach we always stay at a Cannon Beach Property Management home because the homes and properties are always immaculately kept, nicely furnished, and well stocked. This was our first stay at 'The Farmhouse' and it was no exception. Comfortable beds, homey living room and kitchen, and only a short walk to the nearby park and downtown area. I particularly appreciate the 'no air freshener' environment and the fact the linens contain no detergent or fabric softener scents.
We will definitely stay at 'The Farmhouse' again as it was perfect for my husband, our little Dachshund, and myself. Another great vacation in Cannon Beach...:o)"

Margaret A. W. from Corvallis, 05/13/2014

"This is a wonderfully quiet location, and walking to the downtown was no issue. As a repeat vacationer to Cannon Beach would recommend this property fully with the alterations below. Lovely century farmhouse conversion and looks like they have tried to make maximum use of space. The front room is the most comforting site in the house, and a real pleasure to open the door for the first time and see. A perfect spot.

**disclaimer - we loved this property, so the below is only a recommended update to the property**

Aside from the small issue with the plumbing and water heater, which were dealt with as best they could, things were lovely.

Would advise that the property STRONGLY consider converting the laundry section into a half bath, or putting a half bath/closet bath in the upstairs office to alleviate traffic. Its listed as a 6 person rental and that is touch with a and move the laundry to the garage (where the water heater is located) as well as perhaps make better use of the mudroom. It would be easy to split the garage to make this happen and still allow for private storage in the garage. We know you want to keep the mudroom 'clear' because of the aesthetic, but it really makes the back end washing room look cramped and an afterthought.
"

Elizabeth P. from San Jose, 04/30/2014

"We enjoyed our experience at the Farm house. It was our second time, indicating a previous good experience as well. "

Ron V. from Abbotsford, 04/13/2014

"This is the second time we have stayed in this little house over the holidays. We will return again."

David T. from Eugene, 01/03/2014

"The Farmhouse quickly became a home away from home. Very comfortable, clean and adorned with unique art and collectibles. We would definitely consider another stay. As an aside, although very clean I would suggest more attention be paid to cleaning the windows inside and out. "

from Penticton, 11/05/2013

"Cannon Beach was packed that weekend and we enjoyed relative quietness and access to an almost deserted beach. It is a perfect location, within walking distance from town, but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. A dishwasher would have been nice, but one bathroom presented no problems for 6 poeple."

Lorene F. from Portland, 09/06/2013

"We love this home! Signed up for our 3rd repeat holiday. Picturesque and low key. Love the calm feel of the home and the location. It is our "happy place". Perfect for the kids with the garden and location.
"

Samantha S. from Victoria, 08/19/2013

"Peaceful location, older house but great for a week at the beach."

from Seattle, 07/11/2013

"Th Farmhouse is a great little cabin. It is old but clean, nicely decorated, has a great deck and grill and is in a good location, just a quick stroll to the beach. We enjoyed our week stay here and would highly recommend it. The only negative is that it has an older TVand no TV in the bedroom, but still a great place."

Lynn & Steve M. from Panama City Beach, 06/17/2013

"We found the house spotless and in good condition. A grill cleaning tool would be helpful. We appreciate the fenced yard as our small dog and grandchild love to play in the yard."

from Sisters, 05/18/2013

"Sweet cottage in the northern part of CB, away from the town's tourist action. We like the location near the less populated beach, the fenced yard for the dogs, the cozy gas firplace and living room, and all the cute, artistic details. We only needed sleeping room for two, but cabin has nice space upstairs for more - only drawback is the single small bathroom."

from Seattle, 05/11/2013

"This was the perfect home for a spring vacation with our kids, grandkids, and puppies! Rooms were all larger than appear in the pictures. Enclosed front porch was perfect for sleepy dogs and sandy feet. Only downfall was 1 bathroom for 6 people, but with a little planning, that proved not to be that much of an issue. Will definitely be staying in this house again!"

Lecreta A. from Richland, 04/09/2013

"Got lucky with this find for a last minute February weekend at the beach. Well appointed and adorable cabin with comfie beds and furniture. Safe and comfortable for our dogs too. There were only two of us, though plenty of room for more - (only drawback for more would be the small lone bathroom). We liked the north of town location for the wide open beach."

from Seattle, 02/13/2013

"We really enjoyed our stay. The Farmhouse is cozy and comfortable though it took awhile to heat up. The decoration was lovely - clearly the touch of an artist's hand. "

Ron V. from Abbotsford, 01/03/2013

"It was the perfect place for a quiet little get-away."

from Duvall, 09/02/2012

"Loved the place, location and beach so much we rebooked for next year.
Granted there is only one bathroom and the kitchen is a cottage classic =- but it was perfect for us. Fenced in yard was great for kids outside. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Counting down already til next year...."

Samantha S. from Victoria, 08/05/2012

"i would recommend this house with qualifications. we loved the location very quiet but it had a very very small bathroom actually 3/4 bathroom no bathtub. we found it tight with only 2 people i wouldn't like to be sharing it with 5 other people!"

from Olympia, 06/17/2012

"This property made for a perfect getaway for us. It was very well decorated - as though we were staying in someone's home; not a rental home. There was enough space for four of us and two dogs, yet it still felt cozy. We will be back again! "

Amber I. from Portland, 06/12/2012

"This was exactly what my family and I needed. A quiet stay - that was just a small walk from town and a block from the beach. The house was beautiful, well kept, and timeless. I will definitely come again. "

Paul T. from Portland, 04/16/2012

"it was a great place, however there was a ladybug infestation in one of the bedrooms."

from Portland, 03/08/2012

"Absolutely charming & very nicely furnished with everything on hand you could possibly need. Very clean too. I would be happy to stay here again. The rental mgt. company was very professional and accomodating as well. Thanks for an all around positive experience. "

from Portland, 02/28/2012

"My financee and I couldn't have asked for more from our stay at the farmhouse on cannon beach. There were a few mix ups with the wrong keys and wifi passwords but all were handled professionally and promptly. The location of the house was perfect and it was nice to be welcomed into the home by a warm fire as we walked in. Laura and I will be coming back to stay again and again. Thanks,
Mitch"

from Bellingham, 02/22/2012

"The amenaties were outstanding. No dishwasher, but we new that going in. It's close to town and well situated. The furnishing were charming and everything we hoped for. The property management was very responsible and easy to deal with. We will be back."

David T. from Eugene, 01/18/2012

"The farmhouse was wonderful. Everything we could have wanted or needed was there. I have two large dogs they loved it just as much. We were able to hose off their feet after coming back front the beach and then they ran around the yard to dry off before going in the house. I have already recommended this property to people I work with. It is hard to find a place that will allow big dogs and that it clean and well kept. Loved it! "

from Gresham, 09/29/2011

"This was a great house! We were two adults and four kids and had plenty of room. LOVED this part of town. Minor requests: the house needs a vegetable peeler, some beach towels, and a couple more bars of soap. (Oh, and a dishwasher would be nice!!)"

Leigh N. from Bainbridge Island, 08/02/2011

"Great for dogs in that the property is fully fenced, including the driveway where you can park your car. House is very homey, comfortable and fully stocked, however, FYI there is no dishwasher."

Vickie D. from Lynnwood, 07/12/2011
